Q. I registered, but cannot login. Why?
A. Your browser needs to be able to accept cookies to log in. Change the settings on your browser, or use a different browser. Also, firewalls, antivirus and/or other security software may interfere with logging in. Consider adjusting or disabling that kind of software while using our site.
Don't forget that passwords are case sensitive!
Finally, consider adding the ShareMedicalSpace.com domain name to your "trusted sites".

Q. Is ShareMedicalSpace.com really free?
A. It’s always free to search for available space on ShareMedicalSpace.com. And now, for a limited time, there’s no charge to list your space, risk-free and obligation-free.

Q. Once the special introductory free listing period ends, how much will it cost to advertise space on ShareMedicalSpace.com?
A. After our free listing period ends, there will be a fee of $250.00 to advertise medical or dental space, good for ninety days, $450.00 for six months, and $850.00 for a year. That’s still a bargain when you consider the cost of classified ads in a newspaper and other print publications.
Q. How can I pay for my listing?
A. Once we start charging to advertise vacant medical and dental office space on the site, you will be able to pay for your listing with a credit card or PayPal using our secure shopping cart.

Q. I listed my space, but when I tried to find it by searching, there was no match! Why?
A. You may have forgotten to activate your listing. Listing your space involves several steps. Once you have completed the process, you must click "save and activate."

Q. There are so many details to click when listing my space. Do I have to check all that apply?
A. You only need to enter details for the fields identified as “required.” If a doctor runs a regular search (limited to location and specialty), then checking or not checking the other non-required boxes will have no effect on the search. However, if another doctor runs an “Advanced Search” looking for space with certain characteristics or amenities, and you did not indicate that your space offers those characteristics or amenities, your space will not be considered a match for that search.

For example, if a doctor runs an “Advanced Search” looking for space with internet access that is available on Saturdays, and you did not check the “internet access” box under “Office Amenities” and the “Saturday” box under “Days Available,” your space will not be included in the results for that search. Thus even though your space might have matched his specialty and location needs, your listing won’t appear.

Therefore, it is best to include as many details about your space as possible.

Q. I speak Russian and want to find medical space in a Russian neighborhood. How do I do that?
A. Enter the word "russian" in the "Keyword" field in your search. Your search will then display listings where the word "russian" was entered in the language field or anywhere in the listing, such as the description box.

Q. I’m very independent. Won’t sharing medical space cramp my style?
A. Sharing medical space allows you to share the financial burdens of maintaining an office while letting you retain your independence. Two doctors can share the same space on different days, or use separate exam rooms on the same day, and never have to explain or justify their work habits to one another, because they are not partners and have no employee/employer relationship. Lawyers and other professionals have been sharing office suites for many years; only recently, due to financial pressures, have doctors realized the benefits of this kind of arrangement.

Q. Why Use ShareMedicalSpace.com? Aren’t there other ways to list or find shared medical or dental space such as Craigslist or local newspaper classifieds?
A. Craigslist is not designed for searching for medical office space. For example, if you need three exam rooms on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, you would have to contact dozens of matches and ask each one if the space meets those criteria.

On ShareMedicalSpace.com, you’ll get more of the details you’re looking for up front, saving you time and effort. In particular, since everyone listing space is answering the same questions, it’s easy to compare different ShareMedicalSpace.com listings to each other.

If you have unused medical space to share, advertising in local print publications or on Craigslist is a hit-or-miss proposition because those venues simply aren’t targeted to the appropriate audience. Many medical professionals don’t even think of using Craigslist to search for available office space. ShareMedicalSpace.com was created by medical professionals, especially for medical professionals.

Remember, you’re a doctor, not a real estate agent: when you list your space on Craigslist or in print publications you might not include all the information that doctors in need of space may want to know. This can result in low response rates, which means that your space may sit empty for months longer than you had hoped. You might also get a large number inquiries from doctors who simply aren’t interested in the space once you provide additional information. But meanwhile, you’ve had to take the time to respond to each inquiry.

ShareMedicalSpace.com avoids all these problems by quickly guiding you step-by-step through the listing process with questions designed to help you showcase all the features that doctors and dentists looking for space are interested in.
